A pet peeve

You know what really irks me? Something that really makes me feel.. uncomfortable?..

When someone tries to pigeon-hole you; let me explain.

Its really as easy as someone saying, "Michael likes this kind of soda," or "Michael only shops at Best Buy."

I know it sounds dumb, but for some reason I REALLY don't like it. Almost to the point of NOT abiding what was said JUST to prove that I don't do things a certain way sometimes. Which in turn makes me more angry for caring about it.

Am I being ridiculous? Actually I think I know now why it annoys me. It's because most of the people who say it are saying to prove that they KNOW you, which in turn means they know MORE than you, because if they know it then they MUST be more intelligent than you. I tried to write the previous sentence succinctly but what appeared above is kind of how I think.

*sigh*

Does it really matter? Gawd.
