Writing my own evaluation..
So apparently at the end of every calendar year all employees come up for an annual evaluation where they are inspected and consequently given raises (for the most part). Much to my surpise, however, the EMPLOYEES are supposed to write their own "Performance Summary", per my previous post about my bosses email. So I came up with the below and man does it feel strange to primp yourself up. Very strange. Let me know what you think, this has to be completed by "COB January 31st". Oh and sorry about the "***"s, its almost like listening to a rap song on the radio, hahahaa... HA! (you always have to end a good laugh with a finale)
Michael began working at *** at the end of May 05 having just graduated from the University of Arizona. After a brief orientation period in which he completed Six Sigma training, Michael familiarized himself with the structures and procedures of the *** organization and specifically of ***. During the year he also completed a myriad of mandatory training and classes.
Michael's initial task was to shadow ******* during his intial-stage ****** development. It was during this time he learned *** and became increasingly proficient with it. After several weeks on this task Michael was assigned to write the *** software package.
During the *** development Michael learned that communication among many members of *** was necessary in order to pull together to accomplish a task. He also participated in a code review and prove-in, demonstrating an ability to rise to the occasion and complete assigned goals. Subsequently, Michael worked on the *** for *** and also assisted in integration and testing culminating in Michael signing off for the *** prove-in for ***.
His role was then shifted from development over to sustaining and now his primary responsibility is to resolve *** and help co-workers with any issues they may need assistance with. While Michael may not be familiar with some of the test-sets and may take some time learning the nuances of each, he continues to provide consistent support wherever needed.
One issue that Michael may want to work on in the future might be his managing of multiple tasks to maximize performance. He should also become more familiar with the processes of *** and specifically ***.

Referring to myself in 3rd person is as foreign to me as walking around naked except for socks and shoes. Err.. Not that I've done that..
Michael does not know the episode in questions. But what Michael does know is that Karen will like the picture posted on the front of his blog
