can it be too early for humor?

Sometimes I'm sure my boss is a total geek and then I get an email like this;

"The 2005 performance summaries are due by January the 31st. We will be doing them the same as last year. You will write your own performance summary stating how you single handedly saved **COMPANY NAME** from total meltdown and protected the free world. Please have the summaries ready for review NLT the 31st. Also let me know who will be doing your second supervisor inputs. See me if you have any questions."

Gave me a good laugh, before I had coffee even!
